A June 20 news report serves as a reminder that you need to keep your dog undercontrol while driving your RV.

Dane County Wisconsin authorities say charges are still possible against a motor home driver whose dog distracted him, causing a crash that killed two people.

Investigators said the dog jumped on Gary Boldt’s lap, just before the Pewaukee man lost control of the motor home and veered across the center line on Highway 151 near Verona last Saturday. It struck an SUV, killing Boy Scout leader John Seier of Dubuque, Iowa, and Scout Travis Brune, 13. Two other Scouts in the SUV were injured, as they were on their way to a rock-climbing expedition.
